Welcome to ACES WEEKLY Volume 37, Week Five.

This week of Aces Weekly Volume 37 is dedicated to the memory one of our great Aces, Batton Lash, who passed away last week.
He famously created one of the smartest series to grace the world of comics, ' Wolff and Byrd, Counselors of the Macabre '.
It was the kind of thing that only he could have come up with, because he a free-thinker who saw things from a whole bunch of different viewpoints while too many others see things from one.  We were lucky enough to interest him in contributing to Aces Weekly when it was in its early days, and, luckily for us, he joined us without much persuasion.  He saw what we were doing and wanted to support us in it, especially as his free-thinking attitude on creativity almost exactly mirrored our own.  Long-term subscribers will have seen the first part of what he did for us - the clever, post-catastrophe, comic drama, ' The First Gentleman Of The Apocalypse ' - when it first appeared, and be familiar with its further instalments.  If you joined us at a later date and haven't yet caught up with it amongst the other precious content of Volume 5, you can see the whole 21-page first installment now, re-published here as part of our tribute to him in this week's Extras. All of our Aces are special, but Batton was very special - and a one-off.  We'll miss him greatly.

Remember, we ALWAYS want to hear from you!  Ask questions, talk to us all, post to our blog, and see us over at facebook.com/acesweekly. Or send mail to [email protected] to see it right here, whatever you want to say!
