ACES WEEKLY Volume 29, Week Four!
Undue flattery can often be the preface to someone asking for a favour, and right here, in this intro, you may feel you can accuse me of that after I describe all of you readers of Aces Weekly as very special people! There is a favour to ask beyond that initial compliment, but first let me continue by detailing why you're so special - if you didn't know it already. We're a weekly of episodic serials and shorts in a world of strip publishing where that's no longer common ; we're an anthology of varying story types and styles of art in a market where most other anthologies are of one kind of subject ; and we're here in cyberspace, while most comics depend on antiquated and expensive production and delivery systems. What that says about you is that you welcome diversity in your entertainment ; have discriminating taste ; know a bargain when you see it ; are keyed in to the real benefits of 21st century living ; and don't care what every other Joe happens to be doing.
Well, that flattery is neither due nor undue, really, because it isn't flattery, it's the truth! And the favour? Well, the favour is still a favour. Please do us the favour of telling everyone you know who is just like you in all those qualities you have to join you as a subscriber to Aces Weekly, so we can grow as we need to, and keep building our very special - and truly elite - readership... : )
Remember, we always want to hear from you. Ask questions, talk to us all, post to our blog, and see us over at facebook.com/acesweekly. Or send mail to email@example.com to see it right here, whatever you want to say!
