Welcome to ACES WEEKLY Volume 24, Week Three!
Around this time of year, one of the two biggest US conventions occurs : the New York Comic Convention. As usual, we always try to attend this event : to spread the word of Aces Weekly to potential new readers ; to meet our readers there ; and meet those who might help us with what we're trying to do. Every time I attend these shows I'm amazed by the growing size of the crowds. Every year they get bigger. They're getting so big at San Diego's famous con that the city is having a hard job catering for it! It's testimony to the value that comics, and all the things that have sprung from them, directly or indirectly, have for us. It's all about escape into a simpler, more ordered, and more exciting, world than the troubled, complicated, and mundane place that we have to inhabit in reality ; and, as I see no chance of that changing much in the near future, I'd guess those happy crowds will keep on growing! Come visit us at the show if you'll be part of the crowd at NYCC - we're at T9 in Artists Alley all day from Thursday to Sunday. Look forward to seeing you!
Remember, we always want to hear from you. Ask questions, talk to us all, post to our blog, and see us over at facebook.com/acesweekly. Or send mail to [email protected] to see it right here, whatever you want to say!
