ACES WEEKLY Volume 16, Week 7.

Two more tributes from two of our Aces in this final week of our volume dedicated to one of the greats in comics, who we were pleased to also call one of our Aces, Herb Trimpe. First, from Steve Marchant :

Jack Kirby draws Fantastic Four. John Romita draws Spider-Man. Herb Trimpe draws The Hulk. That’s how it was when I got into comics, and that’s how it is when I think of the best of Marvel’s early years. Of course, Marvel’s later years were a different story for Herb – the New York Times ran his journal (read it here). Reading about Herb’s transition from artist to educator is heartbreaking and inspirational. His work brought excitement to the eyes of a child in Wolverhampton, and then admiration to the mind of a cartoonist/tutor in London. The world has lost another good man.

And from Mychailo Kazybrid :

Like so many, I was deepy sorry to learn of the passing of Herb Trimpe. He was a true master at his craft, who very much placed his mark on the industry. Whilst it's always difficult when one of the greats leaves us, we'll remain grateful for all that he's left us to still enjoy. Thank you, Mr Trimpe.

Remember, we always want to hear from you. Ask questions, talk to us all, post to our blog, and see us over at facebook.com/acesweekly
