Welcome to Aces Weekly Volume 12 Week Two!

One of the things we're proudest of at Aces Weekly - demonstrated in this volume as in many others - is the wide-ranging styles of storytelling and art that grace our electronic pages.  In part, this is the natural outcome of having a global cast of creators, who, like almost all creators now working in comic art, have been influenced by the work of other creators from other nations and cultures as well as their own.  The influence of Manga is the obvious example of this to point to - a major one across all areas of comics, from the largest industrial product to the smallest of small press.  But the influence of art itself - in all its forms - has also become a great factor in the way strips are created now.  Increasingly, creators have been freeing themselves from customary tools and methods, to not only tell a story but tell it in the way that fully expresses the artistic personality they want to show - and this has led to a continuing freshness in comics creation, which keeps it exciting and interesting, and evolving as art and entertainment, when some other means of storytelling seem at a standstill.  At Aces Weekly, freedom for creators is our key policy, so innovation will always have a place here, all the time.  It's either that, or we won't be here at all!
